- Grok Bot is xAI’s always-on agent product. Grok companions are a different feature of the Grok app.
- Google AI Studio is Google’s tool for the Gemini API, free unless you add a paid key.
- Meta AI Studio was launched for creating AI characters. Its current status is unconfirmed.
What is Muse AI?
Usually Meta’s new agent, but not always. Meta and Microsoft both use the name, for unrelated products.

Meta describes its product this way: “Muse is a personal AI agent. It doesn’t just answer questions, it actually does the work.” It is “powered by Muse Spark”. Check the date. A Muse agent from before 8 September 2026 is not Meta’s agent, and a Muse from 2025 is Microsoft’s game model.
What is Grok Bot?
An agent product from xAI, launched in beta on 11 August 2026. xAI’s description: “Grok Bot is your team of always-on agents. They have their own computer, work inside tools and apps like you do, and keep working 24/7.” At launch it was offered on SuperGrok, SuperGrok Plus and SuperGrok Heavy plans, and on several Cursor plans, on desktop and iOS.Read at source 16 Sep 2026: xAI, 11 Aug 2026.

On companions, xAI’s FAQ says: “Companions are available on the iOS app only, and there are no plans to bring them to the web or Android.” On X, it says: “While xAI provides the Grok in X service on X.com and X apps, it does not have operational oversight of X’s service.”Read at source 16 Sep 2026: xAI, Grok FAQ.
Some 2026 reports said the companions were being retired. xAI’s FAQ did not mention a retirement when read on 16 September 2026, so this page treats those reports as unconfirmed.

Some 2026 reports said Meta stopped new character creation in AI Studio. This page could not confirm that on a Meta page, so it is not stated as fact here.
Developers usually mean Google; creators may mean Meta or a studio platform. Ask which company before following setup steps.
